Holiday Help?
A friend and I are going on a holiday around Europe for 3 weeks in September. We know where we want to go (Greece, Italy and Spain) and we know what days we want to go from Athens to Rome and Rome to Barcelona etc, but the only problem is most travelling websites don’t give you the option to fly from London to Athens, stay there for 7 nights, then fly/train to Rome, then 7 nights there, then fly/train to Barcelona with 6/7 nights there and then flying home to London. They only really give you the option to fly to one of the cities then stay there for the whole duration and fly home from there.
My question is does anyone know a website where we can completely customise our itineraries for flying to one city, travelling around a few cities, before flying home from a different city?
The more options the better (eg, train travel option/car hire option etc).
Best website will score 10 points.
Please don’t post expedia or teletext or any of the other very obvious sites.

I’ll tell you that honestly, your best bet is to contact a travel agent–they cost a bit, but they can also have contacts to get you hotel and travel discounts and will be able to offer you several different options. In the end, they save you more money than they cost, and it helps make your vacation more worry free and enjoyable.

You need a regular, old fashioned travel agent for that and there are many on-line. You may find it’s more of an adventure to play it as you go. Buy the plane ticket, decide the mode of transportation from place to place after asking locals about the best way ect. Then buy the flight home. This way you’re not in a logistical “rat in a maze”, hard set in an itinerary that doesn’t allow for changes that you may want to make upon making unexpected discoveries along the way.
