Is it worth it to pay someone else to paint my house when wife may get pregnant?
was thinking about painting the entire interior of my house by myself (with my wife’s help). We **** painting and to do two walls it took us one whole day!
We have a 3 bedroom house with vaulted ceilings, so it is going to take at least 4 weekends. The problem is my wife and I want to try for our first baby in January, and with the holidays and vacations, we don’t have the time or energy to paint the house in less than 3 months. I don’t want to paint when she gets pregnant, so it needs to be done asap.
My friend (a painter) offered to paint my house. I will supply him wth all the paint and stuff and he will bring 2 of his co-workers (all painters) and have it done in one weekend.
Should I just pay my friend $800 to paint our house interior? Should I just bite the bullet and pay the money so we don’t have to stress over it?

its up to you but the way you are talkig you want it done asap so the fastest way you gonna gt it done is by paying for it to be done.

If you can afford to pay them to do it then do it. that will take the stress off you both and the pain job will look better too.

In my opinion, you should just pay your friends to paint your house. There are a few reasons….stress while trying to concieve will probably keep it from happening. You are both supposed to relax and just let things happen. Also, if she were to become pregnant, paint fumes may be harmful to your unborn child.

My husband and I just had our house painted, and I absolutly love it! I enjoy it more now than if we would have done it ourselves. It’s such a big job and that’s what painters are for! I say do it! I just got prego myself, and I am sooooo glad it’s done! It’s better for both of you:)

Well if he’s a professional or if he does good work i would because believe me painting isnt a easy job especially when done right. (i’ve done it before, it will took five of us 3-4 hours to do a mid size room) It’s because sometimes you just cant paint sometimes you have to plaster out any knicks in the wall wait for it to dry then sand it smooth, put on primer wait for that to dry, put on the paint you want and in certain situations a second coat is needed. so my advice to you is just pay the money. it’s less stressful than going to bed at 3 in morning. And even if you think you have the time something always come up to mess it up……. so i wouldn’t take that chance.

I would have someone do it for you. Those fumes from the paint can be very harmful to the baby.

Yeah if they are willing to do the whole interior of your house for $800 then its worth it so you and your wife can be less stressed out before the Holidays( as if the holidays themselves are not stressful enough) so you can try for your first baby in January Good Luck!!!

It’s actually up to you,but if I were you have your friend and his friends do the job first and then give them the money, who knows they might take the money and hit it and you and your wife would be upset. And that’s a really cheap price, and if you lived in Milwaukee,Wi my husband does great at what he does and to keep customers coming back he charges only 500-700 dollars good deal. And has a license

Yes, but sure to have them paint the ceilings too. You don’t want your wife staring at the ceiling while you attempt to impregnate her and thinking, “Oh, no! We should have had them do the ceilings!”

WELL IT DEPENDS ON YOUR FINANCES REALLY. IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO HAVE SOMEONE TO DO FOR YOU THEN BY ALL MEANS PUT THE MONEY OUT. IF YOU ARE IN A TIGHT SQUEEZE..THEN WAIT UNTIL YOUR WIFE IS PREGNANT..JUST BECAUSE SHE GETS PREGNANT DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE IS GOING TO BE PARALIZED OR HANDI-CAP. SHE WILL STILL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU.

Paint fumes are bad for pregnant women!! My dad and cousin are painting my upcoming baby’s room as we speak (I’m 7 months pregnant)
Save you both the stress, time and energy on painting and use it on baby making, LOL! I’m saying this in a good way! Good luck!
